Rob and Diane run Advanced Laundry Systems, a family-owned and operated business, supplying commercial laundry equipment to hotel chains and laundromats. They’d worked hard to secure distribution rights from top names like Dexter and UniMac, and now, with their three kids starting at the family company, it was time to expand. They needed to increase revenue to make room for their kids in the family business, so they hired a digital marketing agency to boost sales. But after a year of lackluster results, they hired Hagelin Consulting to audit their current situation—and what we found wasn’t pretty.

Turns out, the money they were spending on ads wasn’t even targeting the right equipment. The marketing company they’d hired had been asleep at the wheel. Hagelin Consulting stepped in to audit the mess and uncovered some big problems. Much of their budget was getting eaten up by ad management fees rather than actual marketing, and the worst part? The person running their ad campaigns had no clue what they were doing. On top of that, their social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn was nonexistent.

Meta Awareness Campaign

Hagelin Consulting quickly got to work. We optimized their Google Ads campaigns, launched awareness campaigns to expand their reach, and developed social media strategies to fill the gap. Now, we fully manage their marketing. The results? Their sales team is closing more deals, distributors have taken notice, and in 2023, they were awarded the highest sales nationwide by one of their distributors. The boost in revenue also allowed Rob and Diane to bring their kids into the company full-time.

But the fixes didn’t stop at marketing. Their website was a mess too. The previous marketing company had set up separate sites for each of their three locations, spreading their domain power thin and weakening their online presence. We combined all locations into one powerful site, with landing pages for each branch. This not only made their product offerings stronger but also gave them a major SEO boost. With better-optimized landing pages and service pages, they ranked higher in search results and were able to bid more effectively on keywords, lowering their costs in Google Ads. Another big issue was their Salesforce CRM. They had invested in a custom system to help their sales team, but adoption was poor. Hagelin Consulting spent three days onsite diagnosing the problem and found that the mobile Salesforce app wasn’t designed with salespeople in mind. We streamlined the system, making key features more accessible, and then met with the sales team weekly for three months to ensure it worked for them. The result? A 100% adoption rate and feedback like, “This CRM actually makes our jobs easier.” The management team now gets detailed reports, helping them stay on top of their sales operations.

To this day, Hagelin Consulting continues to fine-tune their systems through weekly check-ins with their sales manager, ensuring that everything works just as Diane imagined when they first invested in Salesforce.

Understand Problems

During this research stage, we wanted to fully understand the problems that Advanced was facing. We had several meetings per week talking about current issues with marketing, salespeople, and Salesforce. We also took this time to research their competitors in the industry.

Website Creation

We pulled all the single-page sites into one larger site to increase brand power. Each location was given a landing page and linked in the top menu. We expanded the website from three single-page sites to one website 80 pages in size, showcasing each product from different vendors.

“Push Marketing”

To get the new Google Ads account off the ground, we pushed a 3x budget into month one to allow for AI learning modules to quickly understand our focus.

Adjust

After the first month of marketing was completed, we took the metrics to understand which ads worked better than others. 1,000 new users came to their new website with great interaction rates. Bottom line revenue reports showed a tremendous growth in sales.

Social Media Push

After optimizing the Google Ads campaigns with top and bottom of funnel campaigns, we pushed into social media with Meta Advertising. These campaigns averaged a reach of 40,000 users per month. Each campaign was geographically focused in Colorado, New Mexico, parts of Wyoming, and parts of Texas.
